PG - Latest Update

We have had a very busy summer planning the next steps for the R.E.L.I.E.F. Foundation. In the works right now are:


-The First Annual RELIEF Foundation Doubles Tennis Tournament (Philadelphia),

-The City of Miami Mayor’s Ball Sponsored by RELIEF (Miami),

-A One Year Earthquake Anniversary Trip Effort (January 12-16), and

-An online store for RELIEF Apparel (Hats, Hoodies, Shirts, Etc…)

We still could use a lot of assistance in planning and structuring and if any of you would like to help – please let Toni Cannon know! tcannon@therelieffoundation.com

I know many of you have begun collecting funds for the upcoming events and please continue your efforts and stay tuned for more details.

Happy July!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July!

I am now full time with the RELIEF Foundation, there's a lot of work to do. Not only are we moving full steam ahead with our mission in Haiti, we're received a lot of interest in getting involved with the BP cleanup.

Don't want to give all the secrets away today, but stay tuned for more info and new updates. Now that I can devote all of my time to RELIEF, things are going to start snowballing into a wonderful adventure and RELIEF becomes a full force non-profit and makes a difference in the world.

Update!

Hello Again! Just wanted to give you all an update.

We are still working on the next trip to Haiti. Thank you so much for your patience. Things have been a whirlwind on our side trying to prepare for this next trip but we are absolutely going to be going again! This is an ongoing project and we expect many many more visits over the next few years to help Haiti become the great country that we know it can be.

We sincerely apologize that this process has been taking much longer than anticipated but we appreciate your understanding. Look out for some big developments over the next two weeks!

RELIEF Update from PG

Hello R.E.L.I.E.F.,

First-off - thank you for all of those who supported RELIEF at our first organized fundraiser last week. We raised over $25,000 and gained support from executives at Home Depot, the Mayor of Port au Prince, the Mayor of Miami, and many others. Monetary donations are still needed - Please continue to VENMO your support!

Good News and Bad News:


Good News First:

1) The Mayor of Port au Prince has asked our organization to construct the very first building in Haiti since the Earth Quake (see the attached picture for the location)

2) This Friday in Haiti RELIEF will be celebrating with the Mayor of Miami and the Mayor of Port au Prince, the Ground Breaking Ceremony for this new structure

3) The building will be an all purpose pavilion, emergency fall out shelter, public facility, and town hall.

4) Children from Miriam's Orphanage will be helping RELIEF construct the building

5) Materials have been generously donated from the executives @ Home Depot and numerous other big named corporations

Bad News:


It is necessary to postpone the June 10-14th trip to Haiti as we currently do not have all the appropriate information necessary for this new structure and are afraid that the June 10th send-off date will not give us adequate time to prepare. We sincerely apologize for this delay and hope to schedule a new date for the early summer within the coming weeks.
